Higher Education Curricula Development and the Collaborative Economy in Europe (COLECO) is an EU-funded Erasmus+ project aiming to examine the workings and impacts of the collaborative economy in Europe, focusing on peer-to-peer (P2P) accommodation platforms. The latest research will inform the development of two Masters level modules, a general module on the Collaborative Economy and another module with a specific focus on P2P accommodation platforms to promote knowledge exchange and education associated with this growing and dynamic area of the economy.
The main aim of this project is the creation of modules to fill the knowledge gap about the collaborative economy, particularly in business, economics, management and tourism disciplines. While these disciplines may in some cases address the digitalisation of economic activity, they fail to comprehend the concept of the collaborative economy and all the consequences arising from its steep growth.
